Kinesiology is a holistic therapy using precise muscle
testing to
identify imbalances throughout the body. A muscle test is the
application of slow, gentle and light pressure to a muscle in its
contracted or extended position. This process will help decode symptoms
which are early warning signals from our physical body and release
blockages to assist self-healing.
There are many different branches of kinesiology working on a
broad
spectrum of different aspects and applications of holistic healing, but
they all have the same core therapeutic which is the testing of
different muscles to identify stressors in order to release them using
Western techniques as well as Traditional Chinese Medicine.
The beauty about kinesiology is that we can actually
communicate
directly with the body and get some precise bio-feedback, so it is
important to choose the right technique to help with the healing. This
entails actually asking the body what it needs to get better instead of
imposing any treatment which might not be appropriate and would
therefore slow down the recovery to full health.
After reading about different branches of kinesiology, I
decided to
study the fascinating "Three in One Concepts" created by Gordon Stokes
and Daniel Whiteside. This is a specialised area of kinesiology working
to defuse the stress and fear resulting from learning difficulties,
past traumas and negative experiences. These blockages create
imbalances in the subtle energy system and stop us from achieving our
goals, what we really want in life, the best for each of us. Three in
One Concepts helps us change these negative images into more positive
ones and gives us back the CHOICE to get better.
In order to identify the cause - or negative emotional pattern
-
behind physical symptoms such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome, chronic
pain, allergies, skin disorder, asthma and emotional symptoms such as
phobias, learning difficulties, Attention Deficiency and Hyperactivity
Disorder, ME, anxiety, depression, Three in One Concepts uses a chart
called "The Behavioral Barometer". This details an impressive range of
emotions which the body will recognize through muscle testing to help
identify and understand the negative pattern underlying the issue or
any form of misperception about past events.
Most symptoms and illnesses are a conscious or unconscious
interpretation made regarding a situation or a person. They don't
appear randomly on the body. The area affected will give us a good clue
about what's going on. For example, the front of the body represents
present time. Any pain or problem on the front relates directly to a
present situation. The back represents the past. A burning throat
represents something we said and regret or something we should say but
can't let out. Headaches represent the pressure we put on ourselves,
the heart is related to the love we give and receive. A deaf ear? What
is it that you don't want to hear anymore? Neck problems? Who has been
a pain in the neck in your life ? Each part or organ in the body has an
emotion or meaning attached to it. We need to look at it closely and it
will help us understand and resolve the issue behind the symptoms.
Because physical imbalances are the result of past traumas or
negative experiences, working on these symptoms in present time will
not prevent the stressor from reappearing in identical future
situations. Therefore, with Three in One Concepts, we can go back in
time using a process called "age recession" and identify the CAUSE of
the problem itself. For example, when someone has a phobia about
flying, no matter how much work they do on themselves every time they
fly, like breathing exercises or visualisation, this fear will keep on
reoccurring every time they fly. Or dealing with dyslexia in present
time and ignoring that the cause of it lies in the past will mean a
very slow and laborious process to full learning potential. Children
with learning difficulties have to act fast or the system will
marginalise them in special classes with no opportunities to get back
on the normal program.
Using age recession combined with the Barometer will take us
to the
very specific time where it all started. The stressor will then be
defused with gentle non-invasive techniques such as acupressure,
sounds, colours, chakras, meridian therapy, flower essences, emotional
energy balancing, visualisation to mention just a few. People will
finally find themselves able to deal with problem situations without
the same stress reaction.
Once we relieve the pain, most often the physical symptoms
ease off,
then vanish. When the past defuses from the present, positive changes
DO take place. Gordon Stokes
As an example, I once worked on someone who had a phobia about
closed spaces when in cars. She would become very panicky if the
traffic were to slow down in a tunnel or experience sweat, difficult
breathing and very fast heart beat in the car bay of a ferry, waiting
for the doors to open. During the session, we identified the event
which was triggering all these symptoms. Fifteen years ago, she had got
stuck in a tunnel for an hour because of a car accident. The other
drivers didn't switch off their engine for a very long time and rapidly
the air turned foggy with exhaust fumes. She could remember the rising
panic and the urge to get out of the car and run. Luckily the other
passengers of the car managed to stop her. After using the protocol for
phobias which includes some meridian tapping, we managed to change the
image of the memory itself. All that work was done during the age
recession. After defusing the stress caused by that event, the person
never experienced panic attacks ever again.
This example shows how traumatic experiences create energy
blockages
and will be programmed to reappear in similar or even less dramatic
circumstances. But some of them are more subtle and less straight
forward. When traumas appear during childhood, the can have terrible
consequences throughout one's life. In the case of abuse, mentally,
emotionally or physically, emotions such as guilt, fear, anger or
resentment will become buried deep inside as the child will not know
how to deal with them. Her energy will be disturbed at the deepest
level of the unconscious, the Cellular Memory. This is like a foot
print in the soul and the whole system will be disturbed.
After a few
years or even decades of energy imbalances, physical or mental symptoms
will appear. IBS, MS, depression, skin disorder, numbness are a direct
result of suppressed emotions. Conventional medicine can only attempt
to help in treating the symptoms without giving a chance to the soul to
heal and there are good chances that the symptoms will reoccur. Traumas
and negative experiences do not only happen in childhood. We face them
daily in losing a parent or a friend, moving home, car accident,
pressure at work, impossible deadlines etc. They all affect us on an
emotional level. With 3 in 1 Concepts, we deal with all these emotions
on the conscious level, the subconscious level and the body - Cellular
Memory - level to help rebalance the energy.
And where do learning difficulties come from? What if you had
a
parent at home who repeatedly called you "stupid" or said that you will
never achieve anything in life! Or during the first years of school,
what if the teacher "didn't like you" and was showing it by picking on
you, but you had to go back everyday in the classroom to learn how to
write and read? Under stress our mental capacities and performances
diminish. Some blind spots will appear creating more stress. The
pressure increases from parents and teachers and we start imagining
that maybe we are not good enough, that we will never solve this math
problem, that this book is way too long etc.
By thinking this way, we
start creating a Negative Self-Image which creates even more stress and
dyslexia appears. How children perform at school is a direct result
of the Self-Image they've created, what they believe to be true about
themselves. The 3 in 1 Concepts program for learning difficulties
focuses on changing the Negative Self-Image by identifying the person
or the experience causing it. With positive change comes the
realisation that more is possible. We go about changing our situation
by changing the way we FEEL about it.
Three In One Concepts has a unique way to deal with wounded
spirits
which need immediate attention. To bring harmony to our male/control
and female/creative sides, we also need to rebalance our Polarity
Energy. The polarities of the body are waves of Essential energy, the
life force itself. They are more directly related to the spirit than
either Meridian or Chakra Energy. Each part and particle of our
physical body is polarized (has a positive and negative within). If any
changes occur in the polarities after an important physical or
emotional shock, the whole balance will collapse and the oneness
between the body and the mind will disintegrate, leaving the door open
to accidents, cancer, infection etc.
All of the information, all the corrections relate directly to
dis-harmonies within the total of being. We are dealing with a
wholeness of interaction on every level. Gordon Stokes.
To preserve a perfect balance between the polarities is
crucially
important as everything has its opposite - Yin and Yang, solid and
hollow, cold and hot, dark and light, moon and sun - and we need to
maintain a perfect harmony within ourselves, the world and the Universe
in order to grow spiritually and progress towards higher levels of
awareness.
